Reinforced sides

The sides are an integral part of the body and must be as stable as possible to enable the soundboard and the back to vibrate freely, without constraints or stress. If the sides are too “soft”, they will interfere with the sound of the soundboard by reducing its vibrations. This is why we only use solid kerfing, to make a rigid and stable frame for the body, resulting in a responsive and powerful instrument whose energy is directed toward the soundboard. The sides are also reinforced at different strategic points to minimize cracks in case of impact.
